Volunteering

Current Vacancies:

• Shop Volunteers: in particular, for our Kingfisher (inc Weekends), Redditch, Headless Cross and Rubery shops – find out where our shops are located here.
• Drivers – Bringing patients to the hospice and returning them home again, enabling patients to attend who would otherwise be unable to come.  Also driving patients to and from the hospice for outpatient appointments, counselling and complementary therapy.
• Ebay Volunteers: Mondays or Thursday’s between the hours of 10am and 2pm based at our Headless Cross Shop (B97 5EN) to assist with packaging sold items ready to post and taking photographs of donated items ready for listing.
• Complementary Therapists: qualified therapists to provide therapy to patients and their families at the hospice.
• Family Support Volunteers: Our Family Support volunteers provide emotional support to patients, their families and friends who are experiencing a life-limiting illness or after bereavement.
• Counsellors: qualified counsellors to offer one to one support to patients and their families at the hospice.
• Ad hoc Receptionists: to assist with holiday/sickness cover on our Day Therapy and Coppice Centre receptions.
